My name is Ken. I’m a musician and artist currently living in Los Angeles, California. I created this website for a number of reasons. First, there’s so much crap on the internet and I wanted to add to it. Ok, not really. I do feel, though, that I am a hardworking artisan and would like to share what I do with the world. This seems to me the easiest way to do that.

I am an artist. To clear up any misconceptions of what an artist is, this does not mean I’m a messy and disorganized vagrant that unrealistically daydreams in my own self-righteous genius. Not all artists pipe dream with their whole body and mind in the atmosphere. This is my work and my life. I work at it like any good gardener tends his garden…I keep all my receipts, I file all my material, all my lyrics are indexed, all my manuscripts in protective folders, all my drawings and 3D work archived or digitized. I do extensive music journaling . Some of us try very hard to keep their head in the clouds but their feet on the ground. I work hard at something that I derive a great deal of pleasure from, and hopefully, inspire and make others happy as well.

Some of you know me and are aware that I have absolutely no tolerance for anything fake or contrived, plastic or superficial. This attitude pervades into the way I live my life as well as my art. I’ve been told I’m far too critical when it comes to music and my music taste — and my response to that is well, music is my religion. It’s undeniably one of the most important aspects of my life. I believe music has the ability, and moreover musicians have a duty to use the creative powers of music for good….we are guided by our own moral compass. And thus I am guided even by the music I choose to listen to. Read: I do not have to eat shit just because it is served on a plate.
